David Frisvold, Ph.D.
David Frisvold is an Associate Professor of Economics and Henry B. Tippie Research Fellow in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. He holds research positions at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), the IZA Institute of Labor Economics, the Global Labor Organization, and is a Faculty Affiliate at the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Frisvold has held multiple editorial positions, currently a co-editor with the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management and an associate editor for Economics and Human Biology. His research focuses on health economics, public policy, and the economics of education, with a particular emphasis on how these areas interact and influence one another, especially regarding policies affecting low-income children. Dr. Frisvold holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
